Multiple house fires have displaced three different families in the last couple days in terrace heights – east of Yakima.

The most recent took place Monday around 3:30 p.m. on 15 Hardy Road.

Leaving a two story home seriously damaged.

Fire officials said that the recent fires shouldn’t alarm the community.

“Three local recent fires we’ve had in the district are not related they’re all under investigation it’s a free thing I mean we go months without a fire and then bam we get three fires in a week,” said East Valley Fire Departments Lieutenant Ryan Evers.

Fire officials said all recent fires in the area have been accidental.
