Ellensburg Police Simulate Real Life Scenarios In Training

Ellensburg police went through a series of four training excercises yesterday
Captain jim keightley (kite-ly) Says training like this is vital for officers to keep improving their skills and to get hands on with different situations
All of the scenarios were timed to simulate a real life deadline
The training session you are seeing here is a simulation of carrying out a search warrant that turns difficult
The officers thought they were going in to retrieve a computer from a suspect wanted for child pornography
Instead they heard a shot fired, a young girl running out of the house for help, and an injured man in the front yard
Keightley is happy with how his officers performed in the field and said out of all the excercises he attended he would not have done anything different than the officers did
