Enterprise Middle School in West Richland put on brief lockdown Friday
WEST RICHLAND, Wash. — A call about “suspicious circumstances” prompted a brief lockdown at Enterprise Middle School on Friday.
According to West Richland police, a woman who lived near the school called police to report that a teenager went through her backyard as she was in the hot tub. After the teen took off, the woman went to check to see if he was gone. That’s when she found a BB gun in the front yard, reportedly dropped by the suspect.
WRPD asked the school to go into a lockdown as a precaution around 7:54 a.m. The lockdown was lifted at 8:20 a.m., according to the school.
The teen has not been located, but police are looking at three possible suspects.
