Ephrata man, 55, killed in rollover crash in Grant County

EPHRATA, Wash. — A 55-year-old man from Ephrata was killed Wednesday after his car left the road on SR 28, hit a boulder and rolled, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Washington State Patrol says the crash happened around 10:09 a.m. Wednesday on SR 28 between Ephrata and Soap Lake.
According to a press release, Raymon Simpson, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say Simpson’s car was traveling west on SR 28 when it crossed the center lane and entered a field, traveling into a rock pit, and flipping onto its top.

Washington State Patrol says speed was a factor in the crash.
