…EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING
THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING…

* TEMPERATURES…Afternoon high temperatures will be 100 to 110
for many locations. The mountains will be in the 90s.

* TIMING…Afternoon into early evening will be the peak in
temperatures. Overnight lows will be mostly in the 60s for the
lower elevations with some lower 70s possible. Higher elevations
will be in the 50s.

* IMPACTS…Hot temperatures will increase chances for heat
related illness especially for those without access to air
conditioning. Heat stress is also possible for livestock and
outdoor pets. Remember to check the back seat of your automobile
to be certain children or pets are not left in a very hot
environment due to this heat, even if you are parked in the
shade.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

An Excessive Heat Watch means that a prolonged period of
dangerously hot temperatures will be possible. The hot
temperatures will create a dangerous situation in which heat
illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-
conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives
and neighbors.
