Family of missing Wapato woman continue search for mother of four

Two months of searching. Two months of wondering what happened to Rosenda Strong.

The Wapato woman went missing on Oct. 2. Since her disappearance, Strong’s sister has been searching for her.

“She did say I’ll be back and I love you and I said OK, and that was actually the last time that I saw her,” said Cissy Strong, Rosenda’s sister.

The mother of four was last seen leaving Legends Casino in Toppenish with a man.

Cissy was the last family member who saw Rosenda alive.

The FBI is now involved, hoping they can discover clues to find Rosenda.

The family has been receiving support from people throughout the Pacific Northwest.

“I had some volunteers come from Portland and my community actually came together which is my hometown of Wapato,” Strong said.

While the search continues, Cissy remains hopeful.

“I’m not going to stop looking for my sister and I’m not going to stop posting her pictures on facebook,” Strong said. “I’m not going to stop making flyers and hanging them up until my sister is found.”

The family will be setting up a GoFundMe page in January to assist in the search for Rosenda Strong.
