Few rain showers Sunday PLUS: More wet weather for the New Year -Kristin
A few rain showers expected this weekend
Happy Friday! After light snow showers/flurries early this morning, back to drier weather on this Friday. Clouds will slowly clear today with sunshine returning by afternoon. Look for afternoon highs in the upper 30’s and low 40’s.
Patchy freezing fog possible overnight with lows dropping into the mid to upper 20’s.
Quiet and dry Saturday. More clouds than sunshine expected with highs in the mid to upper 30’s.
Our next weather system will track mainly west and south of the area, but we could see a few rain showers popping up Saturday night into Sunday. A slight chance of a wintry mix around the Yakima and Kittitas Valley. If you are traveling through the Cascades, be sure to check pass reports on Sunday with moderate to heavy snowfall expected at times.
Looking ahead to next week, we will see plenty of sunshine on Monday. Active weather returns New Year’s Eve and Day with a few light rain showers. Temperatures will be climbing next week with highs in the low 40’s NYE and mid 40’s New Year’s Day
