SATURDAY EVENING FOR ABUNDANT LIGHTNING AND GUSTY OUTFLOW WINDS

The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Fire
Weather Watch, which is in effect from Friday evening through
* TIMING…Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will begin moving
into the area Friday evening, then overspread the entire area
Friday night into Saturday.
* LIGHTNING ACTIVITY…3 and possibly 6 in the Lower Columbia
* PRECIPITATION…Most storms will produce under two tenths of an
inch of rain.
* IMPACTS…any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.
