Firefighter Seattle stairclimb for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society postponed
SEATTLE, Wash. — The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Seattle is postponing its Seattle Stairclimb event this weekend.
Firefighters across the Tri-Cities have been raising money for the climb since the beginning of 2020.
KAPP-KVEW reached out to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and they provided this statement:
Out of an abundance of caution and prioritizing the safety of our staff and volunteers, and all members of the public involved in our fundraising events, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is postponing our Big Climb events in Seattle, which were to take place on March 8 and March 22. Importantly, first responders must be able to perform their duties without distraction, and we do not want to provide any barriers to their critical work in the Washington State area. We will provide an update on rescheduling.
