…FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM PST THIS EVENING…

the Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of south central Washington, including the following
area, East Slopes of the Washington Cascades.

* Until 7 PM PST this evening

* Over the past 48 hours, rainfall amounts of one and a half to
three inches have been reported along the crest and east slopes
of the central and southern Washington Cascades. Additional
rainfall of one quarter to near one half of an inch can be
expected this afternoon. Rain will taper off after 7 PM.

* Rivers and streams have shown significant rises since sunrise
this morning. Minor flooding is possible this afternoon as
occasional rain occurs. The Naches River at Cliffdell and Naches
is at bankfull.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
