Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies are asking local drivers to slow down as roads are still slick from snow and ice.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday night, the department said they had responded to ‘several’ collisions in about two hours.

KAPP-KVEW spoke with a deputy who told us they went to seven crashes which started happening around 5:30 p.m.

The people involved in one such crash, pictured above, had to been taken from the hospital after being rescued from inside their pickup.

The department used the hashtags “slow down”, “it’s icy out here” and “stay home and sip some hot chocolate instead” to get their message across.

We can’t stress enough on telling people to slow down. Deputies have responded to several collisions in the last couple…
