Freezing rain, slick roads prompt closures, schedule changes
Freezing rain is causing slick roads and dangerous driving conditions this morning. The following schools and businesses have made changes to their schedules for today:
PNNL: All non-essential staff located in Richland and on the Hanford Site should report to work at 11:00 a.m.
Hanford: ‘Non-essential employees’ on day shift should NOT report to work today. Swing and graveyard shifts are on a regular schedule for tonight.
Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic: Will open at 10 a.m.
Ben Franklin Transit: 2-hour delay.
Tri-Cities Food Bank: Kennewick and Richland branches closed.
Benton PUD: Delayed opening until 10 a.m. at Kennewick and Prosser offices.
Kennewick City Offices/City Hall: 2-hour delay, will open at 10:30 a.m.
St. Joseph’s Catholic School: Childcare Center is closed.
Yakima Valley College: Campus is closed.
Columbia Basin College: Campus is closed.
Franklin County: Operations will be delayed by 3 hours.
Waste Treatment Plant: Work is canceled.
Energy Northwest: All non-essential employees are on a 2-hour delay.
