Grab your umbrella with rain chances Friday -Kristin
Rain chances will be going up today and into the upcoming weekend. A low pressure system is moving through the Pacific Northwest right now with the heaviest rain on the west side from Seattle into Portland. We will have plenty of cloud cover today with a few rain showers popping up from time to time. Keep your umbrella near-by! The wind will be a bit breezy today between 15 to 25 MPH. Look for highs in the mid to upper 70’s.
Highest rain chances arrive tonight mainly from the Tri-Cities into the foothills of the Blues. Drying out Saturday morning with more wet weather around the Yakima & Kittitas Valley later in the day. There is even a small chance of a thunderstorm that could pop up around the Columbia Basin. It will be a bit warmer in the afternoon with highs in the low 80’s.
Sunday, we could see another rain chance. Highest chances stay west into the eastern slopes into the Yakima Valley. Another small thunderstorm chance is possible from the Columbia Basin into the foothills on Sunday. Look for highs in the low 90’s in spots by afternoon.
