Granger man shot multiple times pronounced dead on the scene

GRANGER, Wash. — Authorities have launched an investigation into the fatal shooting of a man in Granger over the weekend.

According to a press release issued by the Yakima County Sheriff’s Department, Granger police were dispatched to the 400-block of Bailey Ave around 10:30 p.m on May 22 after reports of multiple shots fired and an injured victim found on the roadway.

Upon arrival, Granger Police Department Officers and other responding law enforcement responded to the scene and made contact with a male victim who was sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Medics were called and emergency medical treatment was rendered, but the man succumbed to his wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene of the crime by local law enforcement and medical first responders.

Granger Police requested the assistance of the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office Detectives division to assist in their investigation. The investigation is ongoing by multiple local law enforcement agencies.
