RICHLAND, Wash. — The Hanford Vit Plant is hosting an event for girls interested in engineering fields.

On Thursday, Feb. 20, “Introduce a Girl to Engineering” will be held at the Richland Public Library from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event is free and open to all girls in grades 3-12.

It will feature hands-on STEM activities and a chance to interact with volunteers from the National Society of Black Engineers, the Society of Women Engineers and other local companies. About 100 students participated in this Bechtel-sponsored event last year.
