Hanford workers on early release; swing, graveyard shifts canceled
Hanford Site storm plan for non-essential workers
HANFORD, Wash. — Monday’s winter storm and its impact on the roads is affecting work at the Hanford Site.
Non-essential Hanford employees are being told to leave early “due to reduced visibility from blowing snow and related adverse weather conditions.” Here is the plan:
200 East Area and all Areas South of the Wye Barricade, including employees working in Richland – 2:30 p.m.
200 West Area and 100 Areas – 3 p.m.
Swing and graveyard shifts
CANCELED Monday night for non-essential personnel
The Rattlesnake Barricade will be open until 6:30 p.m.
Essential employees needed to maintain minimum safe operations are on normal work schedules. Workers should use extra caution and plan for longer commute times.
