Health district: 3 people in Tri-Cities area have tested positive for West Nile Virus

TRI-CITIES, Wash. — Three people in the Tri-Cities area have tested positive for West Nile Virus this year.

On Tuesday, the Benton-Franklin Health District reported that two Benton County women in their 50s tested positive for the virus.

They are the second and third confirmed cases in the state.

This year’s first positive case of West Nile Virus was a man in Franklin County.
