Health officials: 16 coronavirus cases in Tri-Cities area

TRI-CITIES, Wash. — The Benton-Franklin Health District has reported 16 coronavirus cases in the Tri-Cities area — 10 in Benton County and six in Franklin County.

Four new cases were reported on Monday:

  • A Benton County woman in her 90s who is hospitalized
  • A Franklin County woman in her 50s who is recovering at home
  • A Franklin County woman in her 30s who is recovering at home
  • A Benton County woman in her 30s who is recovering at home

Out of those 16 cases, there have also been three coronavirus-linked deaths in Benton County and none in Franklin County. The deaths involved a man in his 70s, a man in his 80s and a woman in her 80s.

A total of 147 people in the area have tested negative for coronavirus — 104 in Benton County and 43 in Franklin County.
