Here’s your chance to show the Tri-Cities what you’ve got! Benton-Franklin Fair searching for talent

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Did quarantining during the COVID-19 pandemic help you discover a hidden talent? Or maybe all of that time at home led you to hone a skill you’ve wanted to develop for years? Or you might just have a talent you’re itching to show the world?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of those questions, or you’re just intrigued, this is your sign to apply to perform at the Benton-Franklin Fair from August 23rd through the 27th.

Also known by Tri-Citians as “the best week of the summer,” the five-day event features local acts on the Legends Community Stage.

The stage is a showcase for Tri-Cities area performers who want their day to shine in front of a crowd,” a Benton-Franklin Fair news release said. “Jugglers, musicians, trapeze artists, dance teams, artists, acrobats, comedians,
muralists – you name it. If you’ve got a talent you’d like to share, let us know about it.”

Lori Lancaster, the fair’s executive director, said performers of all ages are welcome to apply.

“We are open to all kinds of different performers, artists, live painting, like anything people want to do, we want them to submit an application,” Lancaster said. We really want to fill that stage with local talent.”

“Timeslots are one-hour including load-in and load-out. Professional sound, stage, and light equipment are provided. Performers are not compensated but will receive admission passes,” the release said.

The deadline to apply is July 31. You can find the application here.
