Pasco police are looking for the driver of a black Cadillac Escalade that hit a woman as she was walking in a crosswalk on North 20th Avenue and left the scene.

The woman and her child were crossing the street on Saturday around 6:20 p.m., and police said they had the green walk arrow when the driver turned on a red light.

“Unfortunately the woman was still in the crosswalk but thankfully was able to push her child out of the way before the vehicle struck her and continued on its way on 20th,” police said on Facebook.

Bystanders were able to help the woman and her child while witnesses followed the Escalade and captured video of its license plate before it turned onto I-182.

The SUV has Washington license plate BEK5723. Contact police and reference case PPD 18-54313 if you have any information.
