Hit-and-run driver wanted by Yakima County Sheriff’s Office, possibly armed
Yakima County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a hit-and-run driver.
According to Sergeant Brian Jackson, around 9 p.m. a car rolled over in Selah near Wenas Road and Longmire Lane.
A woman was partially ejected and her leg was injured in the crash. She was taken to the hospital for the non-life threatening injury.
Sergeant Jackson said the man got out of the car and ran off. A witness said they believe they saw the man take a rifle out of the car before running off.
The woman would not tell deputies the name of the driver.
Deputies used a drone, but have not been able to find the man.
He’s facing a hit-and-run charge and anyone with information should contact the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office.
