I-182 rollover crash in Richland sends 2 to hospital
RICHLAND, Wash. — A crash in the Queensgate area sent two people to the hospital just before 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
Yakima resident Maria Rivera, 44, was driving with a 14-year-old passenger when she changed lanes on I-182 and struck a 2012 GMC Acadia SUV, police said.
She overcorrected, flipping and totaling her 1997 Subaru Legacy. She and her passenger Angel Rivera were injured and transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The SUV driver was Gibert Hendricks, 66, of Zillah. His vehicle received some damage and he was not injured.
Washington State Patrol cited the woman for improperly changing lanes.
