I-90 eastbound back open at Snoqualmie Pass

UPDATE: All lanes are open. Chains are required on all vehicles except all wheel drive and oversize vehicles are prohibited.

There is compact snow and ice on the roadway.

SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. – Interstate 90 eastbound closed at Snoqualmie Pass Tuesday afternoon due to several spinouts related to winter weather conditions.

The Washington State Department of Transportation said at 3 p.m. that the closure is at milepost 47 about five miles west of the summit.

Chains are required westbound on all vehicles except those with all wheel drive. Oversize vehicles are prohibited.

Westbound travelers should expect an extra 30 minutes of travel time.
