Investigation leads to arrest of wanted Pasco man
KENNEWICK, Wash. — The Kennewick Police Department has arrested a man involved in an active investigation, who also had a Department of Corrections warrant.
On Thursday at 3:15 p.m., a car was spotted on State Route 240 east of Edison Street. According to Officer Roman Trujillo, 31-year-old Rodolfo Lopez Alfaro was a passenger inside the car.
Police determined the stop was “high risk,” shutting down State Route 240 westbound lanes for a short time. Alfaro and two others were taken into custody peacefully.
Alfaro was arrested for his DOC warrant. Trujillo said he’s “a person of interest in another active investigation.” It’s not clear what the investigation entails.
The other two were released from police custody. The car was impounded by officers.
According to our media partner Q13, Alfaro is a high-violent documented street gang member. He was wanted by the DOC in 2016 for a felony after allegedly brutally assaulting the mother of his children, who was pregnant at the time of the incident.
