John Dam Plaza in Richland vandalized on Saturday night
RICHLAND, Wash. — The City of Richland is working to clean up John Dam Plaza after it was vandalized on Saturday night.
The stage area along with areas around it were spray painted with words like “ghost” and “509 E Bloc”.
Jason Janosky with the city’s parks and recreation department said they are working with Richland Police to figure out who is responsible. On Sunday afternoon, the city was already working to get the grafitti removed using a special coating.
Janosky said this is the first sigificant vandalism to the plaza since it opened. He said the city will now consider installing cameras.
If you have any information on who may be responsible, call Richland Police.
