Just Joel’s makes donation to local domestic violence shelter
KENNEWICK, Wash. — Just Joel’s continues to give back to the community.
On Thursday, the diner and Juice G’s barbershop donated to the Domestic Violence Services of Benton and Franklin counties. They dropped off numerous items including children’s toys, clothing, hygiene items and more.
“We live in a very, very giving community and I think that every non-profit would say that to you and that’s one of the beautiful things about this community is they do help take care of their own,“ said Deborah Culverhouse, the shelter’s development director.
Earlier this week, Just Joel’s had a day when customers could buy whole pies ahead of Christmas Day. A portion of those proceeds went back to the shelter.
“They do an impressive job and it’s nice to have a community that’s this generous and we are more than blessed to be the recipients,“ Culverhouse said.
