Kadlec Medical Center hopes to educate public about stroke warning signs

RICHLAND, Wash.– Kadlec Medical Center held a press conference Monday afternoon to bring attention to the warning signs of strokes.

The medical center had doctors and a stroke survivor speak about their experience in dealing with strokes.

“There’s always going to be some challenge, some sign that you had a stroke,” said Danene Scribner, who suffered from a stroke six years ago while running a 10k race. “But it’s just your attitude about it. Its not getting back to normal, its finding a new normal.”

Doctors said potential stroke warning signs are face drooping, arm weakness, speech difficulty, and head pain.

People of all ages can suffer from strokes.
