Kennewick driver draws makeshift license plate, arrested for warrant

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Police questioned a driver with an unusual license plate on Friday night.

Officers were originally called about a suspicious person at Big Lots. They found the person driving near Kennewick Avenue and Olympia Street. Police confronted the driver, identified as 32-year-old Blaine Blair.

Based on witness statements and what the officers saw, it was quickly noticed that Blair’s license plate was drawn with a marker.

The license plate read “No plate required.” Underneath where the plate number would go read “PRIVATE,” followed by “God given right to travle.”

Blair was arrested for a warrant
