Kennewick fire crews battle single-story house fire

KENNEWICK, Wash. — The Kennewick Fire Department battled a single-story house fire late Thursday night.
The fire started around 11:15 p.m. on the 700 block of S Taft St. near W Seventh Avenue.
Officer Zach Moore with the Kennewick Police Department told KAPP-KVEW that the house wasn’t fully engulfed, but the fire spread into the attic and caused damage.
Kennewick Fire Chief Chad Michael said that all occupants were able to get out of the house safely.
The Kennewick Police Department assisted KFD with the fire.
The cause is under investigation.
