Kennewick PetSmart opens cat adoption center with Tri-Cities Animal Shelter
KENNEWICK, Wash. — PetSmart has unveiled a new cat adoption area of their Kennewick store thanks to a partnership with the Tri-Cities Animal Shelter.
The grand opening marks the official partnership since the animal shelter became a registered 501 (c)(3) – a nonprofit organization. They join a list of other organizations that partner with the pet store.
“Animal shelter in Pasco sometimes ends up with over 200 cats and by opening up an outreach adoption center here at PetSmart we’re hoping to help alleviate some of the overcrowding that they sometimes have,” said Tammy Falkner, Assistant Manager at PetSmart.
Falkner said the official partnership has been in the works for a while and she’s excited for what’s in store.
