Kennewick police arrest man suspected of raping elementary school-aged child

Four hostages freed after 16-hour standoff in Issaquah

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Kennewick police on Wednesday arrested a 32-year-old man suspected of raping an elementary school-aged child.

Child Protective Services informed police about the alleged crime on Tuesday, Jan. 14.

At about 4 p.m. the next day,  officers responded a home at 1108 S. Irby St. and arrested Keven Leopard on suspicion of first-degree rape of a child. He was booked at the Benton County Jail.

Police said Leopard knows the child.
