KPD: Thief stole food from Albertsons, assaulted loss prevention officer

KENNEWICK, Wash. — Local police are attempting to identify a suspect accused of committing robbery to the second degree at the Kennewick Albertson’s.

According to a Facebook post by the Kennewick Police Department, a male suspect stole several food items from Albertson’s at 5204 W Clearwater Ave. Authorities say that the man was confronted by a loss prevention officer who attempted to stop him before exiting the store.

KPD says that the suspect assaulted the officer on his way out of the store.
