Kennewick spa offers free float therapy to select veterans suffering from PTSD
KENNEWICK, Wash. — Float Euphoria will be offering free flotation therapy to select veterans suffering from PTSD.
The Kennewick spa opened two years and was the first in the Tri-Cities to offer float therapy, which consists of lying in water saturated with over 1,100 lbs. of Epsom salts. This causes the body to float gently on top of the water, which creates a safe and therapeutic environment.
Studies have shown that floating can help cause reductions in blood pressure, stress, anxiety and physical pain. It can also help veterans process past trauma.
Float Euphoria is accepting applications from veterans suffering from PTSD to experience the benefits of float therapy. Selected individuals will each receive five one-hour float sessions in Dreampods, spaced one week apart for maximum benefits.
“I want to give something back to those in our community who fought for our freedom,” says Float Euphoria owner Ryan Wright.
Applications will be accepted until Dec. 1. To learn more about the program and apply, you can visit the spa’s website.
