Kennewick suspect at large after pointing handgun at unsuspecting victim
KENNEWICK, Wash. — Following an inconclusive roundup, Kennewick police officers are extending their search for a suspect who is accused of pointing a handgun at a resident on Thursday morning.
According to a press release issued by the Kennewick Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 500-block of S Auburn St around 11:34 a.m. on June 16, 2022. The responding patrol was informed that a citizen had a handgun pointed at them in that area.
Upon arrival, the officers searched the surrounding area in an attempt to locate the suspect. Several individuals who matched the description provided by the victim were contacted by police, but none of them were involved in the incident. They were each allowed to leave without any further incident.
They extended the search for the assault suspect but weren’t able to locate the individual. The victim escaped from the altercation without injury, but KPD officials are turning to the community for further information.
