Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue crew worked to subdue fire
ELLENSBURG, Wash. — A fire started at about 1:30 p.m., on Cooke Canyon Road just north of the city of Kittitas Tuesday.
According to the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office several residences were evacuated on the 7000-8000 block of Cooke Canyon Road.
Trees in the area began to catch on fire and Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue responded quickly and were able to fully contain the fire with the help of the Department of Natural Resources helicopters as well.
As of now the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
