Fred Meyer announces mask update for Washington stores
The Kroger Family of Companies announced Tuesday morning that Fred Meyer and QFC stores in Washington state will follow state health and CDC guidance for mask policy within their stores beginning May 25.
The announcement means that fully vaccinated customers are no longer required to wear masks in their facilities, unless there is a local mandate.
The company says most employees who are fully vaccinated no longer need to wear masks in stores, distribution centers, and plants and offices, unless there is a local mandate.
Kroger says that employees working in pharmacies will still be required to wear masks due to the CDC’s guidance for healthcare settings.
The company requests that all non-vaccinated customers continue to wear masks when entering their facilities.
