LGBTQ Pride March will end pride week in Yakima
YAKIMA, Wash. — A march will end LGBTQ pride week in Yakima, this comes after the city of Yakima made history by declaring for the first time ever, June 11th through the 17th pride week in the city.
Tomorrow, a march organized by several local organizations will kick off at noon at Performance Park.
Participants will hear from LGBTQ speakers and march through downtown Yakima.
“Actually what we are doing is we are celebrating the diversity of Yakima and the contributions of the gbtl community, and that’s the purpose of gay pride is visibility,” said Rainbow Cathedral Pastor Bill Poores.
