Local businesses donate tires to family stuck in Pasco, police officers chip in
PASCO, Wash. — A woman and her three kids got stuck in Pasco after two of their car tires went flat. Pasco Police jumped in to help.
According to the department, Officer Halworth first came in contact with the family last Friday and noticed the problem. Local businesses were quick to help.
Les Schwab, Pasco City Shop and the Salvation Army helped the family get two new tires. The generosity didn’t stop there.
Pasco Ofc. Wakeman installed the tires for the family “in the manner of a pit crew member in honor of this weekend’s Daytona 500,” the department said on Facebook.
The woman and her children were able to continue their journey thanks to the giving Tri-Cities community.
