Local Spanish radio station raises money for Mexico

Due to high listener’s demand, Kennewick’s Spanish radio station Radio La Ley 99.5 for earthquake relief in Mexico City.

According to radio personality Norma Quintana aka Norma La Chikybaby, the majority of their listeners are from the country.

The station is planning on raising money by having their listeners call on-air are planning to create a gathering for the community in the near future.

People that donate will get a receipt that they can use to claim in their taxes,” said Quintana. “We’re going going to make sure that donations will go to the organizations.

The radio station also wants to send the donations to other countries that have been victims of catastrophes.
