Man accused of beating girlfriend, threatening to kill baby in Finley arrested

FINLEY, Wash. – A domestic assault suspect was on the run after beating up his girlfriend and threatening to kill their baby in Finley on Christmas.

According to Sergeant Carlos Trevino with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, around 8 p.m. on Christmas they were called to a home on East 14th place where the man had allegedly hit his girlfriend in the face several times after getting into an argument.

Police say he then took and threatened to kill their baby.

The girlfriend went outside to call police who showed up with on-duty SWAT members, but the suspect had fled the home, and left the baby inside.

The baby was not hurt. The mom suffered a bloody lip.

Police later found the suspect, 28-year-old Nicolas Anthony Saenz, when he returned to the home early Thursday morning.

He was arrested for domestic assault.
