Man accused of pointing gun at security guard at Yakima SunDome
YAKIMA, Wash. — Yakima police arrested a man who allegedly pulled a gun on a security officer at the Yakima Valley SunDome, then fired the weapon in the air once he left the building Friday night.
The security officer asked Emilio Gamboa-Barbosa, 23, to leave a private event around 9 p.m. Officials did not disclose the reason they were asked to leave, according to City of Yakima spokesman Randy Beehler.
He pointed a gun at a security guard and eventually left the building. While outside the SunDome, he fired some shots into the air in front of the security guard and drove away, Beehler said.
Authorities were able to track him down a short time later and arrested him during a traffic stop.
Gamboa-Barbosa is facing charges of second-degree assault and reckless driving. He was booked at the Yakima County Jail but has since bonded out of jail.
