Man arrested after breaking into CG Public House

KENNEWICK, Wash. — A man was in custody Saturday after breaking into CG Public House early Saturday morning, according to police documents.

Officials with the Kennewick Police Department said they responded to a burglary call at 7:30 a.m. after employees found Jose Gomez, 32, inside the locked restaurant.

He had forced his way inside after breaking a window, documents said.

Police said Gomez initially refused to come out when speaking with deputies from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office and troopers from the Washington State Patrol, but left when K-9 Ivan arrived.

Gomez is being charged with burglary in the 2nd degree.
