Man gets life in prison for killing 2 near Oregon pool hall

A man is now sentenced to life in an Oregon prison after pleading guilty to killing two men and attempting to murder a woman.

Marion County prosecutors said Tuesday Marcelino Osorio-Jimenez, 36, waited for the victims outside a Salem pool hall on June 18.

He shot and killed Hector Martinez-Arroyo, 26, and Carlos Zepeda-Ponce, 50, before firing once at the woman as she ran back into the pool hall. That shot missed.

Authorities said the men had a history of verbal disputes, but this was the first violent encounter.

Osorio-Jimenez will be eligible for parole after 55 years, when he’s 90.
