Man hit by car in Kennewick while using walker at crosswalk
KENNEWICK, Wash. — A man using a walker was hit by a car Sunday evening while crossing South Washington Street near West 10th Avenue.
The man was in the crosswalk wearing a yellow safety vest when he was hit by a car turning left to go north on Washington Street around 6 p.m., says the Kennewick Police Department.
Police say the man fell to the ground and hit his head. He was transported to Trios Health in Kennewick for treatment. His current condition is unknown.
The driver turned on a flashing yellow light when he hit the man and was cited for failure to yield.
No names of the persons involved were released.
