Man pulls knife on another customer in Richland McDonald’s drive-thru
RICHLAND, Wash. — Richland officers cited a man Wednesday afternoon after he attempted to pull a knife on someone in a McDonald’s drive-thru.
The situation started at the fast-food restaurant off of Wellsian Way and Aaron Drive. Police say a 47-year-old man and another driver were arguing about who was next to turn in the two-lane drive-thru.
It escalated when the man attempted to pull out a knife. He accidently dropped it and police quickly responded.
The man was not arrested due to medical issues, according to Det. Sgt. Drew Florence with the Richland Police Department. He was cited for misdemeanor intimidation and possession of a dangerous weapon. The 47-year-old will be sent a date to appear in court.
