Man Rolls Car in Kennewick, Apparent Heart Attack the Cause

Date and Time of Incident: 11/15/14 1056 hrs

Location of Incident : Olympia St & 15th Ave

Summary of Incident : Officers responded to an injury roll-over collision at this location. Charles Loosvelt (84 yoa) was traveling south on Olympia when he suffered a medical emergency (appears to have had a heart attack). Witnesses reported that Loosvelt crossed into the northbound lane and hit the curb before drifting back into the southbound lane. Loosvelt then struck a fence on the west side of the road and his vehicle rolled. As officers arrived on scene, citizens were removing Loosvelt from the vehicle as he was unconscious and not breathing. Officer Ball and a citizen initiated CPR and continued it until KFD arrived. Medics were able resuscitate Loosvelt at the scene. He was transported to Trios Hospital for further care.
