Man sentenced for shooting at Pasco nightclub
PASCO, Wash. — The Pasco man who shot a 23-year-old concertgoer at La Cabana de Pasco will spend 2.5 years in prison.
Alex Deleon pleaded guilty to assault in the second degree and unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree on Tuesday morning. He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.
In March 2018, court documents say Deleon shot an Outlook man in the leg after he was allegedly angry over being accidentally bumped into at the venue.
Security guards disarmed Deleon until police arrived. Los Nuevos Rebeldes was supposed to headline that night at the club.
Officers tried to move people out of the venue to investigate, but many objected and demanded their money back.
Court documents say police found a .380 semi-automatic pistol.
Deleon was sentenced to 18 months for the assault charge, plus 12 months for a deadly weapon enhancement. He was also sentenced to 12 months and a day for the weapons charge. According to prosecutor Lucas Downer, the sentencing will be served concurrently.
