Man shot during Terrace Heights robbery has died

TERRACE HEIGHTS, Wash. — A 30-year-old man who was shot during an armed robbery in Terrace Heights on May 6 has died, the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

Deputies initially responded to a robbery at a home in the 600 block of N. 39th St. where one victim was shot in the stomach and another was assaulted. Both victims were transported to the hospital for medical care.

The victim who was shot, 30-year-old Ronald Leroy Carl, has died. The other was treated and released from the hospital following the incident.

The case is now being investigated as a homicide.

The sheriff’s office has released photos from a security camera footage of two gunmen believed to be responsible. Deputies are asking the public to identify them.
