Pasco police identify man who allegedly slapped woman’s butt in public

UPDATE: Police said the suspect was identified with an hour of posting his photo on their Facebook page.

The investigation is ongoing.

PASCO, Wash. – Pasco police want to identify a man suspected of slapping a woman’s butt at Albertsons on Tuesday evening.

Police said the unwanted swatting occurred in self-checkout at 8 p.m. The incident was caught on the store’s security cameras.

The woman claimed that the man who slapped her butt told her, “I just had to,” then walked on.

“You should know that any unwanted touching, even a no-injury swat, can be considered a violation of the Pasco code titled “Using Force Against Another”, a misdemeanor,” police said on their Facebook page.

He’s described as about 5’5″, in his 30s and had some scruff on his face. Anyone who recognizes him is asked to call dispatch at 509-628-0333 or email Ofc. Josh Madsen at madsenj@pasco-wa.gov about case 20-00069.
