Marine life expert speaking on orca behavior at Kennewick library
KENNEWICK, Wash. — A marine life expert is coming to Mid-Columbia Libraries’ Kennewick branch to speak about Orca behavior.
Marine research naturalist Brent Nixon will be giving the lecture called, “Orcas Are Speaking, Are We Listening?” on Thursday Mar. 30. At 7 p.m.
Nixon is the CEO of Nature Talks, a company that puts on presentations on a variety of subjects related to science and education. He also helped establish the nation’s first non-captive marine mammal park on San Juan Island in the Puget Sound.
He has shot video for wildlife film groups like National Geographic and Animal Planet, and he’s given talks all over the world.
The library is located at 1620 S. Union St. in Kennewick. Admission is free.
